GRANT ALERT!
The FY 2019 Student, Teachers, and Officers Preventing (STOP) School Violence Grant
Program is designed to improve school security by providing students
and teachers with the tools they need to recognize, respond quickly to,
and help prevent acts of violence.
In
fiscal year (FY) 2019, OJJDP made approximately 320 awards totaling
more than $320 million to protect public safety, ensure offenders are
held accountable, and empower youth to live productive and law-abiding
lives. In addition, OJJDP grants supported states' efforts to fulfill the core requirements of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act .
